Interesting article from Nick Hilton - would hate for us to become like Spurs or Arsenal fans when we move to the OS but its probably inevitable

Hope their relegated next year. Miserable place miserable team. Any club that plays music after a goal deserve death.

I wonder what Raneiri really thinks about Huth's antics? It must grate against his seemingly saint-like principles.

Thanks Leicester, £110 from a free bet at Christmas. And I did have a tenner on WH too.

I predicted they'd win it with two games spare back in August.

Totally agree with that. I too was surprised at the level of contempt at which his appointment was greeted with. Couldn't work out why such an accomplished manager wasn't given a chance in hell at being a success.

Re: Well done Leicester City...
I hate Leicester but I think as a manager Ranieri has been up to now very under-rated. I am glad he will now get the credit and plaudits he deserves.

As a man I think he is a gentleman and genuinely decent. He is humble and that type of character deserves success. Too many times in football it is the nasty cunts that are successful and I am glad this has changed that.

Ranieri was far too good a human to be manager of Chelsea and so I am glad he has won it with someone else.

One more thing, It is and has always for me been 30% about the manager and 70% about the players the players have to execute well, otherwise it would not matter if you had Bob Paisley and Brian Clough managing you, the players are practically everything.

Re: Well done Leicester City...
There Is no doubt that Ranieri was beneath being appointed by Leicester he was good enough, to suggest otherwise is ridiculous the man has managed at some very big clubs maybe his Greece debacle was what created doubt, but I never felt anything when he was appointed along with probably 99% of football fans .

I think nearly everyone agrees with that.

Re: Well done Leicester City...
I thought he had been a good manager but at a level below the big names and had been let down maybe by being too nice a guy and not ruthless enough. This was based on his Chelsea years.

Greece in hindsight was a basket case but I did think it showed that he'd become a bit doddery.
Didn't think it was a COUP for Leicester but in hindsight I'm not sure who I thought they could get.
No great love for Leicester but I am pleased for Ranieri because he does seem a good guy.

Agreed that no-one thought he'd do as well as he has. But not everyone thought he was an awful appointment and would be the first manager sacked.

Re: Well done Leicester City...
hindsight is 20/20 I suppose, but it's funny how people laughed at Raneri's appointment as if Leicester were too big a name for him.

Have you seen the guy's cv?

Barring Greece (which I believe was his first foray into international management and a completely different thing), he's managed lots of massive teams.

Roma, Valencia, Chelsea, Inter, Juventus, Atletico, Monaco etc... He's had teams promoted or finished 2nd quite of lot of times with big teams.

Even before leicester's success, he is easily amongst the top 6/7 managers in the league in terms of experience, results and pedigree.

A far more acomplished manager than Pearson, Allardyce, Redknapp, Martinez etc..
Yet people laughed..
Funny how so many pundits can't even read a wiki page..

Hairy......I thought he was a shrewed appointment and said so on here at the time.Leicester
However I did not think they would win it or that the "big" clubs would be so shit this season but I did think that Liecester would not struggle under him and would be a threat to us and the top ten.
